A major issue this election season is pay equity. The wage gap between men and women in the South is larger than any other region in the country.
According to a recent report by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, closing that gap would cut poverty for working women in the South by more than half and add billions to the economy. We speak with two of the study’s authors.
