IWPR Continues to Inform Paid Leave Debates
In the face of challenges ranging from swine flu to worker recruitment and retention, IWPR continues to inform policy on paid leave at the local, state, and federal level. Here are some exciting developments in IWPR’s ongoing work:
- IWPR recently released The Need for Paid Parental Leave for Federal Employees: Adapting to a Changing Workforce examining the need for and benefits of paid parental leave for government employees

- Government Executive and the National Federation of Federal Employees profiled the paid parental leave report
- IWPR recently released reports on paid sick leave, Valuing Good Health in New York City and New Hampshire
- Dr. Miller testified before the New York City Council and submitted a follow-up rebuttal letter in response to the Five Borough Chamber Alliance’s testimony
- The NY Daily News and Gothamist cited Dr. Miller’s research on paid sick days legislation in New York City
- The New York Times reprinted an Associated Press article citing IWPR’s research on paid sick days in New Hampshire
