Women are closing the pay gap with men–slowly. Very slowly.
A new report from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research examines trends in women’s employment and earnings and finds that in a handful of states, a woman born today isn’t likely to see wage equality in her lifetime.

“Data like these can help us pinpoint, at both a state and national level, how and where we can improve employment and workforce policies to end stubborn inequality by gender, race, and ethnicity,” IWPR vice president and executive director Barbara Gault said in a statement.
