Job training can provide women with the skills and supports needed to access good jobs with family-sustaining wages. It is particularly important for the many women who do not have college-level education and often work in low-wage jobs with limited prospects for advancement, or may be returning to the labor market following a caregiving break. However, challenges such as limited access to quality and affordable child care, lack of transportation, and financial instability can create obstacles to enrolling in or completing job training.
