The Institute for Women’s Policy Research president and CEO C. Nicole Mason announced a new Board Chair, Nadia Allaudin, Board Member, Eve Rodsky, and Vice President of Advancement, Carl Davis, Jr.—all changes designed to increase IWPR’s ability to win economic equity for all women and eliminate barriers to full participation in society.
“We are already benefiting from Nadia, Eve, and Carl’s dynamic leadership as we build evidence to shape policies that will close inequality gaps and improve the economic well-being of families,” said Mason. “This leadership team will expand our impact.”
New Board Chair Nadia Allaudin is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management. Allaudin has been the recipient of many awards, including Forbes’ “America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors” list in 2020 and Working Mother’s “Top Wealth Advisor Moms” list in 2019.
“My time on IWPR’s Board has only deepened my commitment to their mission,” said Allaudin. “The past year has emphasized the need for research that makes the case for supporting women’s economic equity and uplifts women of color. I look forward to leading the organization as Board Chair alongside the IWPR Board of Directors and IWPR President C. Nicole Mason.”
Allaudin focuses on empowering women and the LBGTQI community to better understand their wealth management needs. She founded the Women, Wealth, and Wisdom Conference in Los Angeles.
Visionary author and activist Eve Rodsky joins IWPR’s Board of Directors. Rodsky offers solutions to the age-old problem of women shouldering the brunt of childrearing and domestic responsibilities in her book Fair Play. An organizational management expert and Harvard-trained lawyer, Rodsky worked in foundation management at J.P. Morgan, and founded the Philanthropy Advisory Group. In her work with hundreds of families over a decade, she realized that her expertise in family mediation, strategy, and organizational management could be applied to a problem closer to home—a system for couples seeking balance, efficiency, and peace in their home.
“We are in the midst of a global reckoning. No longer can societies be built on the backs of the unpaid labor of women. I believe in the power of IWPR to lead the revolution to value women’s time and center women’s economic security,” said Rodsky.
Seasoned development professional Carl Davis, Jr., is IWPR’s new Vice President for Advancement. Davis was most recently the Chief Development Officer at Girl Effect. In that role he managed a team that raised more the $15 million annually and led the launch of a new brand. Before joining Girl Effect, he served as the Vice President for Philanthropy and Global Communications at the Search for Common Ground.
“Increasing philanthropic support is an integral part of IWPR continuing to be at the vanguard of shaping policies that grow women’s power and influence,” said Davis. “I’m excited to take on the challenge of unlocking existing fundraising potential and capturing new possibilities for revenue growth.”
A native Alabamian and current resident of Washington, D.C., Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with honors from Ball State University.
