THE INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN’S POLICY RESEARCH (IWPR)
ANNOUNCES THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Washington, DC – The Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR) today announced the appointment of three new members to its distinguished board of directors: Jocelyn Frye, Lee Christian Parker, and Monique Garcia Rizer. The board provides counsel on the strategic direction of the organization while maintaining financial oversight.
“We are thrilled to welcome these incredible and accomplished women to the IWPR board,” says Dr. Jamila K. Taylor, president and CEO of IWPR. “Each of these leaders has been a champion of women throughout their careers and will no doubt enhance the wealth of expertise of our board members who are currently serving.”
The growth of IWPR’s board will help guide the think tank in its continued pursuit of building evidence to shape policies that grow women’s power, close inequality gaps, and improve the economic well-being of families.
“As a life-long advocate of women and families, and a long-time supporter of IWPR’s mission, it is an honor to join the board of this organization,” says Jocelyn Frye, president of the National Partnership for Women & Families. “By working alongside Dr. Taylor and the rest of the board during such a critical time in our nation’s history, I am confident that together we will create lasting change.”
“Joining the IWPR board is deeply personal for me,” says Lee Christian Parker, executive director and banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. “I’m thrilled to be part of a community that uses evidence-based information to drive change and amplify women’s voices in spaces where decisions about our collective future are being made.”
“I’m honored to join the board of an organization that is so deeply committed to gender equity,” says Monique Garcia Rizer, vice president at a social impact consulting firm. “As a nonprofit leader, I’ve seen how equitable policies transform lives, and I look forward to working with this team to create opportunities for all women to thrive.”
