National and Michigan thought leaders gather for a two-day conference focused on advancing gender and racial equity.
DETROIT — The Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR), the nation’s leading think tank working to win economic gender equity, is bringing its flagship national conference, the Power+ Summit, to Detroit on Sept. 28 and 29.
This year’s conference, “The Power Grid: Driving Gender Equity Forward,” comes to the Motor City with an exciting lineup of speakers, including former Sen. Laphonza Butler, New York Times contributor Dr. Tressie McMillan Cottom, feminist financial speaker Tori Dunlap, award-winning activist and writer Brittany Packnett Cunningham, ABC political contributor Donna Brazile, and many other state and national experts and political leaders, with several names still to be announced.
