Our Priorities

Recognizing the invaluable contribution of unpaid care work, we strive to create policies that support and uplift caregivers by analyzing the need for accessible and high-quality child care, elder care, paid sick and family leave, flexible work schedules, and cash transfers for mothers and families.

Education is a cornerstone of economic security, and we are committed to breaking down barriers to advancement. We research student parents, career training opportunities through apprenticeships and workforce development, and other policies that reduce student debt and make college more accessible for women, particularly women of color in STEM fields.

We believe that economic justice begins with fair compensation, regardless of gender, and we build evidence to support equal pay policies, livable wages, unions and labor rights, better job quality, and retirement security for women and their families.

To support women’s health and reproductive freedom, we focus on understanding the economic impacts of health access restrictions, our national maternal health crisis, and the racial disparities impeding health care access and negatively impacting health outcomes for people of color.
