The average working woman still only makes 78 cents to a man’s dollar, and Sarah Silverman wants to change that.
In the video, above, Silverman considers a sex change operation to earn the money a man gets doing the same job as a woman. The comedian promotes the Equal Payback Project, which aims to raise the total amount of money that 69 million women in the workforce lose over the course of their careers — a modest $30 trillion.
If somehow that goal isn’t met, proceeds will go to the National Women’s Law Center, an organization that advocates for equal pay for equal work.
