Kate Miceli is IWPR’s Senior Manager, Policy and Government Relations. Prior to IWPR, Kate worked as a consultant for the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) Institute of Global Politics Ann F. Kaplan Women’s Initiative to create a web resource on exemplary domestic and global paid leave, care, and tax credit policies. In her previous roles at the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau and Futures Without Violence, Kate advocated for the elimination and prevention of gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work. Kate has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Mary Washington and a juris doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law. She is barred in Virginia. She is involved with the Junior League of Washington DC and completed the New Leader’s Council Washington DC program, Planned Parenthood Metro Washington’s Developing Leaders program, and American University’s WeLead Candidate Training program. In her spare time, Kate loves to read, watch entirely too much TV, and enjoy DC’s amazing restaurants.
