  • Your Newborn Daughter Will Be 43 Years Old When Massachusetts’ Gender Pay Gap is Projected to Close

    Jul 17, 2015

With women making about 82.5 percent of what men earned in 2014, the gender pay gap is alive and well in the U.S.

In Massachusetts, a state that generally has better work and pay opportunities for women, that gap isn’t expected to close until about 2058, according to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research . That means your newborn daughter – that cherub-faced bundle of joy lying in her crib as you read this post – will be 43 years old when gender pay equality is finally expected to be achieved in the Bay State.
