Sydney Sanchez is the Manager of the Office of the President and comes to IWPR with over six years of professional experience in the production and logistics field. She spent three years assisting top-level executives and managing logistics for the GRAMMYs at the Recording Academy as a lead associate on their event production team before joining IWPR. She has also worked in the non-profit space and has designed projects to help women who have been victims of domestic violence in Honduras.

She is currently finishing her master’s degree in Global Governance, Politics, and Security at American University and specializes in Crisis Management, Mediation Tactics, and Reconciliation Methods. At present, she is researching specific Economic Development Indicators in the Northern Triangle to find new paths to de-escalating the gang violence issues in the region.
