Kennedy Andara is the fall intern for IWPR’s Status of Women in the States project. She is a current MA candidate at American University, pursuing a degree in Public Policy with concentrations in social policy and gendered economics. Prior to IWPR, she was an Economic Justice Advocate at The National Partnership for Women & Families. Kennedy is passionate about women’s experiences in the labor market, as well as the intersection between poverty and gender. In her spare time, she is an avid reader of feminist literature and a mother to her cat Olive.
